Inner Light and Sound as Non Dual Energies
Inner Light and Sound as non-dual Energies points to a single current of consciousness that the mind later divides into “Light” and “sound.”
At Initiation, perception can meet the current before it splits into sensory form—revealing a seamless, self-evident unity that then integrates back into ordinary dual functioning.
“Light and Sound are not two streams meeting. They are one current, revealed through two senses.”
Duality Arises in Perception, Not in the Source
Duality always requires a divider.
In this case, the divider is:
-
the mind
-
the sensory apparatus
-
conditioned perception
Before Initiation, perception works like this:
-
sight perceives one thing
-
hearing perceives another
-
experience is split
At Initiation, the incoming current precedes the senses. It is encountered before it becomes light or sound.
Only after it enters the perceptual field does it appear as:
-
Light when interpreted visually
-
Sound when interpreted auditorily
“The current is one. The senses are two.”
Why it Can Feel Unified During Initiation
Many Initiates report:
-
Light that feels audible
-
Sound that feels luminous
-
A presence that is neither visual nor auditory, yet unmistakable
This happens because, for a brief period, the mind is bypassed and perception collapses into direct knowing.
That is why the experience feels:
-
seamless and indivisible
-
This is the non-dual aspect.
Why it Later Separates into Light and Sound
After Initiation, as perception stabilises:
-
the mind reasserts its organising role
-
the senses resume differentiation
-
Light and Sound appear as parallel currents
This is not a regression. It is integration.
The non-dual is not lost. It is simply expressed within duality,
“Non-duality does not abolish duality. It gives birth to it without division.”
A Useful Analogy
Think of white light through a prism.
Before the prism:
-
one beam
After the prism:
-
many colours
- The colours are real, but the source was always singular.
- Light and Sound are the prism-effects of a unified spiritual current passing through a human system.
Why This Matters for Practice
If one chases Light or Sound as separate goals, tension arises.
If one rests in the current itself, Light and Sound appear naturally, effortlessly, and appropriately for that stage.
This is why advanced meditation is not about preference.
“Attend to the current, not its expressions.”
Closing Clarity
- At the level of Initiation, Light and Sound are not two separate energies. They only appear as two when perceived through the mind.
- What is entering is a single current of consciousness, which the human perceptual system differentiates into Light and Sound because that is how the nervous system translates something that is fundamentally indivisible.
