Mind, Light and Sound: Western Philosophy Re-Seen

This bespoke new series explores the story of Western philosophy, from the earliest Greeks starting with Thales of Militus (626/623  – c. 548/545 BC), to more contemparary thinkers upto Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 – 1951).

For each of the philosphers we will see how their insights can be applied to the Spiritual Path of Light and Sound, although this will be of benefit to other meditation and spiritual practises.

Historical concepts and insights will thus be stepping stones to direct experience for the meditator which should give new insights into making realisations from their meditation practise. In this way we can see how the Path of Light and Sound embraces and eventually transcends the limits of Philosophy, which has been said to be one of the Seven Keys of Creation.

A brief timeline of Western Philosophy is illustrated below but there will be upto 50 philosohpers considered throughout this course.
