Lightwave Meditation Introduction

Lightwave Meditation IntroductionThere are increasing numbers of people interested in meditation for spiritual & general well-being & there are many paths and teachers to choose from especially now social media is so powerful at giving access to the relevant information. The sheer volume of choice available now can seem overwhelming to many looking for answers into themselves on a spiritual level.

Lightwave Meditation IntroductionThe Way of the Divine Light and Sound has always been the Way of the Masters throughout the ages from Krishna, Christ, Buddha & Mohammed although it has nothing to do with religion, as the latter is something man has chosen to create as a vehicle for the outward expression of their faith. Religion has strayed a considerable distance from the original message and we see that in the violence 7 bloodshed it has brought over the centuries.

However, Initiation into this most ancient of spiritual paths has always been available to those that seek the peace and wisdom it brings.

So there are two expressions how our divine nature expresses itself:

1. Spiritual Sound Meditation

This timeless vibration or Sound is in its nature transcendental and therefore perceived in silence. Jesus’ disciples called it the “Holy Spirit” or the “Word “which is from the Greek term “Logos,” meaning sound. This is spoken about many times in the bible for instance:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God and the universal word or sound are one and the same.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

The creation was made by God and the vibration of sound that was him. Everything that we now perceive his a manifestation of God and the sound.

Revelation 14: 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

This describes some of the many sounds that can be heard in meditation.

Buddhists also meditate on the inner sound & call it Nada Yoga:

Nada yoga means meditating on the inner sound, also referred to as the sound of silence. Interestingly, nada is also the Spanish word for “nothing” which is a great way of describing the emptiness meditation can bring.

Hazrat Inayat Khan, a modern Sufi mystic, tells us that this creation is nothing but the “Music of God” for it is the outcome or manifestation of His Power. He calls it Saute Sarmadi or the intoxicating vintage from the Garden of Allah (God) and has given an elaborate description of It, as appears from the following account:

“All space is filled with Saute Sarmad or the “Abstract  Sound.” The vibrations of this Sound are too fine to be either audible or visible to the material ears or eyes, since it is even difficult for the eyes to see the form and colour of the ethereal vibrations on the external plane. It was the Saute Sarmad, the Sound of the abstract, which Mohammed heard in the cave, Ghar-e-Hira, when he became lost in his ideal.”

Lao Tze speaks of It:

The Tao that can be expressed is not the eternal Tao; The name that can be defined is not the unchanging Name.

Whatever we speak about is not that which can be named or heard as the sound is perceived in silence and has no beginning or ending.

In the Bhagavad Gita (a Hindu text) Krishna equated Himself with the “sound in ether”, in chapter 7 Knowledge of the Absolute:

V8 “O son of Arjuna, I am the taste of water, the light of the sun and the moon, the syllable om in the Vedic mantras; I am the sound in ether and ability in man.”

Lightwave Meditation IntroductionKrishna was said to create this world out of the sound of Om that emanates from his flute.

The flute of the Infinite is played without ceasing, and its sound is love. It has no end & no beginning

The Upanishads are one of the oldest mystical texts dating around BCE and they describe the sound current in many ways as given by the quote below:

Nada Bindu UpanishadUpanishad, 21:

A yogin ought to sit in Sidha Asan (a yogic posture), and adopting  Vaishnavi Mudra, should hear within him the “Sound” coming from the right side.

The form that this sound takes is seen as a spiritual light which will now be considered.

2. Spiritual Light Meditation

This is seen at the level of the third eye:

John 1: 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

God’s energy is the life of men in the form of light and sound.

Luke 11: 34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Lightwave Meditation IntroductionReferring to the third eye from where the light can be meditated upon. The body is full of darkness when the eye is unused and perception is drawn into the world. The mind is the darkness that blots out the spiritual light which can be seen within. There are many form of light including kundalini and astral light, but there is also light which is of a higher vibration than these which may be perceived.

The spiritual Light and Sound are two energies of our higher self that can be accessed through the silence of meditation.

Physics proved long ago that worldly light and sound are created by vibrations of differing frequencies & the quantum physics of more recent years has turned conventional thinking about the properties and origin of matter on its head.  There has been a great deal of interest in the therapeutic benefits of vibrational frequencies for healing and relaxation.

Spiritual Light and Sound are a far more subtle form of their physical counterparts from such devices as seen above & from that which we see and hear in our everyday life. Our spiritual evolution can be quickly accelerated meditating the Spiritual Light & Sound which is the source of everything.

So we can see from the above that a common thread runs through many religions and they are all ultimately talking about the same path but the interpretation of the words by the scholars varies as looking at mystical works through the intellect can only lead to division. We must walk the path ourselves to find the truth within otherwise our journey just becomes one of the intellect.
